The Give Box

Amazon Packed with Purpose

More than 300 backpacks, packed with purpose.

The Give Box handled the procurement and logistics. Amazon colleagues gave their time to pack. Together, we helped make a practical donation possible for every pupil at Christ Church CE Primary School in Padgate.

The story behind the donation

Turning volunteer time into something useful.

Starting a new school year should feel exciting. But for many families, the cost of a school bag and the everyday essentials that go inside it can add real pressure at an already expensive time of year.

Through Amazon's Packed with Purpose community initiative, every pupil at Christ Church CE Primary School in Padgate received a new backpack filled with practical items to help them begin the term ready to learn.

More than the time spent packing

A successful kit-building event begins long before volunteers gather around the tables. Products need to be appropriate, quantities need to be right and every item needs to arrive in the right place at the right time.

The Give Box handled that behind-the-scenes work: sourcing the backpacks and their contents, coordinating stock and managing the logistics. With everything prepared, Amazon's team could focus its energy on assembling the bags and creating something tangible for the children who would receive them.

Simple for teams. Meaningful for communities.

This is what purposeful corporate volunteering can achieve. The practical details are handled, the activity brings people together and every hour volunteered contributes to a clear, useful outcome.

For this project, The Give Box provided the procurement and logistical foundations. Amazon provided the people and the time. Christ Church CE Primary School received practical support shaped around what its pupils could genuinely use.

A connection that continues beyond the bags.

The school is set to continue working with Amazon volunteers through activities designed to support learning, confidence and aspiration throughout the year.
